Today, more than 513,000 children and young people are in the foster care
system - 87% of which should have never been removed from their home. Every
day apart from their own family feels like a lifetime to a child.
The Adoption Incentive Program has ripped countless thousands of children
from their parents arms and placed them in harms way, to live within the
uncertainty of the foster care system. Congress must act now, to protect
innocent children, The Adoption Incentive Program will expire on September
30, 2008 -- Let it!
The House voted unanimously to "improve" and reauthorize the Adoption
Incentive Program in late June. Don't let the Senate make the same mistake.
